Hi, I’m Lyndsey. I connect deeply with audiences to inspire and equip them to grow closer to God and their true selves.
I’m the author of My Body and Other Crumbling Empires: Lessons for Healing in a World that is Sick, and I’m also a preacher, speaker, and workshop leader. I’ve spoken to clergywomen, church planters, women’s retreats, and progressive Christian audiences around the Southeast. My speaking style matches my writing style: authentic, thoughtful, and passionate.
Each talk is tailored to the event and audience. I’m not a hide-in-the-hotel speaker; I’m a late-night-chat kinda connector, helping you host a standout event from beginning to end. Participants leave with big ideas to discuss—and action items to implement in daily life.
Some of my most requested topics are:
Living and Working with Hope in a Chronically Ill World
Unlearning Burnout as a key to doing justice in our lives, churches, and organizations
Spirituality and Bodies: embodied theology and prayer practices
Places I’ve spoken include:
Theology on Tap series, The Camp House, Chattanooga, TN
St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Athens, Tennessee
Wild Goose Festival
Parkside Church Charleston
Two Rivers United Methodist Church
St. Andrews Parish United Methodist Church
Providence Baptist Church women’s retreat
